It was initiated under the supervision of Dr. Arti Patle in 2007. Visiting pediatricians including Dr. Arti Patle and Dr. Piyush Jaiswal have catered to numerous cases over the years. It has a neonatal ICU with 6 bed facility.

Apart from these interventions, the department comprehensively covers all diagnostic Cardiac procedures including

  • ELR (Extended loop recording)

  • Pacemaker analysis

Vaccination programs are conducted for children.
The department has started Paediatric Cardiology Clinic on a monthly basis. More than 100 cases have been diagnosed in the Paediatric Cardiology Clinics. Senior visiting faculty – Dr. Ajay Bhoyar and Dr. Manish, head the unit.
With an eye on comprehensive cardiac care, facilities like diet counseling and Cardiac rehabilitation programs have been initiated.
The department holds the distinction of being the only Centre in the region capable of providing free services to the needy under the PMJAY and MJPJAY schemes.
